International Workers’ Day began with the demand for an eight-hour work day, but has blossomed into a broader fight for all who have been exploited and oppressed. Dozens of labor, social, and climate justice groups joined together in solidarity to celebrate the traditions of struggle by working class people. We stand together and address the climate and ecological emergency and to demand economic security and justice. We fight for a better world for workers, oppressed nationalities, the LGBTQ community, woman, and migrants. For healthcare, childcare, housing, education and climate justice. Many participants are active year-round spreading the resistance in the fight for a world free of injustice, war, racism, sexism, ecological, and economic devastation.
