I recently visited my dear friend and fellow Zen Center colleague Esther Ngotho to capture some photographs of her for her mayor of Beverly, Massachusetts election campaign.
I wasn't particularly satisfied with the images from this photo shoot because I'm my own worst critic and suggested a reshoot because I didn't like the shadow from her eyeglasses, however, it seems that Esther was very happy with the results, and I'm happy to have yet another one of my photographs published. Esther is the first person of color to ever run for mayor in Beverly, Massachusetts and I'm so proud of her for her amazing contributions to the city of Beverly and beyond.
Dr. Esther Ngotho. Beverly, Massachusetts.
I was very delighted to see the photograph of Esther that I captured on the digital billboard marquee at Beverly's Cabot Cinema. I had a my Nikon N80 35mm camera loaded a roll of expired Kodak Gold 200 film on me, so I snapped a photograph of it.
I'm grateful that I'm very skilled in my craft. It's not only an art, but a science as well. There's so much more involved than just framing and snapping the shutter button.
