Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ in Tibetan Script ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ Limited Edition Fine Art Canvas Print

Prior to committing to Zen Buddhism I studied and practiced Tibetan Buddhism, and one of the first manta I learned was Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ which is associated with the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara who was also my main yiddam, something I carried over with me from my previous practice & study in various Chinese Mahayana schools venerating the all compassionate one Guanyin.

In Zen her name is Kannon, Kanjizai & Kanzeon.

I love this mantra so much that I have it tattooed on my arm and I loved learning how to write this mantra in Tibetan script and practicing how to paint it.    This mantra is painted on rocks all over Tibet and Nepal.

* Giclée, pronounced (zhee-CLAY), is a French word meaning that which is sprayed. Giclee prints evolved in the early 1990’s from equipment and processes used for digital graphic proofing in lithographic, and other printing industries. Beginning with a full size, high-resolution digital scan of the original artwork, the fine art prints are individually produced on special, large format ink-jet printers, typically utilizing from 7 to 12 pigment based, archival inks. This process offers the highest quality reproduction possible. The resolution of giclees is much higher than that of conventional offset printing & other printing methods, resulting in a virtual continuous tone image, instead of a visible dot pattern found in other printing methods. The detail is incredible; the color is rich and intense, with a broad range of tonal values. The estimated life span of giclees far exceeds that of other methods of fine art printing. Tests indicate longevity of over one hundred and thirty years with no noticeable fade.

*  First print FP 1/* is traditionally held by the artist and is reserved for gallery exhibition & shows until it is sold.   While this print is available for sale, it is priced much higher as it is the most valuable print in the entire edition other than the artist proofs and is the most in demand by collectors.

Selling price increases an additional 10% after each print sale.   ie:   If print number 2/* sells for $700.  Print # 3/* is 10% higher, therefore the selling price would be $770, etc
