Little Girl Cleans Beach During Covid-19 Pandemic at Dane St Beach, Beverly, Massachusetts

Little Girl Cleans Beach During Covid-19 Pandemic at Dane St Beach, Beverly, Massachusetts
Matted & ready to frame.

Back in late March, a couple of weeks after the city of Beverly, Massachusetts declared a state of emergency due to the Covid-19 pandemic,  I was out for a walk and capturing some photos of whatever caught my eye.

I live fairly close to Dane St Beach and often go there to meditate.  It is one of my favorite places. I love the ocean,  and  I'm also an environmental and climate crisis activist, so, when I saw this little girl cleaning up trash at the beach, it emotionally moved me.  For me, this was special and precious, and I just had to capture it.

I am issuing this black and white photograph as an archival quality limited edition print, double matted & ready for framing.

 * Giclée, pronounced (zhee-CLAY), is a French word meaning that which is sprayed. Giclee prints evolved in the early 1990’s from equipment and processes used for digital graphic proofing in lithographic, and other printing industries. Beginning with a full size, high-resolution digital scan of the original artwork, the fine art prints are individually produced on special, large format ink-jet printers, typically utilizing from 7 to 12 pigment based, archival inks. This process offers the highest quality reproduction possible. The resolution of giclees is much higher than that of conventional offset printing & other printing methods, resulting in a virtual continuous tone image, instead of a visible dot pattern found in other printing methods. The detail is incredible; the color is rich and intense, with a broad range of tonal values. The estimated life span of giclees far exceeds that of other methods of fine art printing. Tests indicate longevity of over one hundred and thirty years with no noticeable fade.

 * First print FP 1/5 is traditionally held by the artist and is reserved for gallery exhibition & shows until it is sold. While this print is available for sale, it is priced much higher as it is the most valuable print in the entire edition other than the artist proofs and is the most in demand by collectors. ⁺ Selling price increases an additional 10% after each sale. ie:   If Print number 2/25 sells for $200, then Print # 3/ 25 is 10% higher, therefore the selling price is $220, etc
